BTW, I received it as advertising from KSS.

Mountek CD Slot Mount MT5000-C, Universal Hands Free Car Mount for Cell Phones, Satellite Radios & GPS Devices

  • FREE SHIPPING IN THE U.S.A. THRU CYBER MONDAY WEEK ONLY!
  • Universal Car Mount / Cradle / Holder firmly mounts cell phones, satellite radios, GPS units, MP3 players and more!
  • nGroove design allows the MT5000 to fit into the thin grooves found in autos, planes, boats & motorcycles
  • Requires NO suction cups, NO clips, NO screws, NO adhesives or glue! Inserts into front loading CD player slot, where device controls are easily accessible by the driver
  • Most TomTom/Garmin/Magellan models fit great! *The MT5000 WILL NOT fit TomTom GPS units that have a protuding rear speaker.

Shopping for a reliable, high-quality mount for your mobile device? This one installs directly into your CD player slot or in between the grooves of your dash. PATENT PENDING DESIGN. It uses NO SUCTION CUPS, NO CLIPS, NO SCREWS, and it requires NO TOOLS. Best part, it won’t obstruct your view of the road.

FAQs: My charge port is located on the side of my phone. Will this allow for me to charge it at the same time? Absolutely. Simply detach the support bar located at the bottom of the cradle, and you can easily mount your phone with the charge port exposed. Will the blade activate the CD’s auto loader? Although all CD players are made differently, the plastic blade does not reach far enough to activate a CD player’s auto loading function. If my CD player has a rubber/cloth dust guard, will the mount damage it? The max depth the nGroove blade can reach is 16mm or .63″. If the depth of your dust guard is shorter than this, then the plastic blade might cause it to appear warped or wrinkled. I have an extended battery which requires a larger case. Will it fit? The MT5000 was not designed for devices thicker than .70″, but you still might be able to mount your phone without its case. NOTE: You must completely loosen the blade’s tightening wheel BEFORE uninstalling the mount. Otherwise, you might scratch your CD slot or dash. Compatible with the new iPhone 4/4S, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Inspire, HTC myTouch, Nexus One, Galaxy S Series, LG Revolution, Motorola Droid Bionic, Atrix, & More! *Will not fit TomTom GPS units with a protruding rear speaker.

Please read complete FAQs on Mountek’s corporate website for additional information on vehicle compatibility, product information, and installation warnings. It is now against the law to hold your phone while driving. With Mountek’s MT5000 nGroove Mount, you can use your device hands free and promote a safer highway.

200/365 Pieces of me
Cell Phones & Accessories

I wanted to do something a little bit different to commemorate day 200 in my 365 toy project (this is officially the farthest I have made into one of these 365 projects). I decided to use this opportunity to give everyone a little bit of a chance to get to know me a little better by featuring some of my favorite things.

20 facts about Klein
1. Favorite films include Dark Knight, Paper Moon, Ed Wood, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Volume 1, Snatch, Devil’s Rejects, Little Shop of Horrors, Fight Club, A Clockwork Orange, Reservoir Dogs, Full Metal Jacket, Hitman,Fight Club, American Gangster, Zombieland, Revolver, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Memento & Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

2. The last three movies I went to see in theaters were Inception, Toy Story 3 and the new Winnie the Pooh movie that we went to see just this past weekend. I used to go the theater like three times a week, now maybe three times a year- I blame netflix (I can almost always find something better streaming than the schlock currently in theaters and I can watch it in the comfort of my own home).

3. Current obsessions include the A Song of Fire and Ice series of books (and the Game of Thrones tv series) and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic tv series I don’t think I have had my interest peaked by two such radically different things at the same time before. Applejack is my favorite MLP character and Jaime Lannister is my favorite ASOFAI character.

4. I used to read a book a day, every day for about ten years unfortunately, I have a lot less free time than I used to now most of my reading time is spent reading Dr. Seuss aloud to the zilla. So far all I’ve read this year besides zilla stuff and the A Song of Fire and Ice series is an obscene amount of Batman comics, Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi ( GoodFellas is based on it) and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.

5. The Joker is without a doubt my favorite comic book character, I absolutely love him. I had the goal of reading every comic that the Joker ever appeared in until I realized how many 100s of comics that really was, while I haven’t given that goal up completely but it has turned into more of a longer term goal.

6. I’m rarely on time and I’m chronically forgetful- these two go hand and hand because nine times out of ten I’m running late because I can’t remember where I put something- you know like my keys down. My phone is also a commonly misplaced item, it’s black and I have the nasty habit of putting it down somewhere in the living room where all the furniture is also black so it blends in. I just recently came up with a solution for my phone involving a bright neon orange cover that also happens to glow in the dark, I predict much less lost phone stress in my future.

7. My current phone is a Palm Pixi, I really love it and it has miraculously survived the longest of all my cell phones. It’s remarkable I’ve actually had it for over a year now, I’m normally very unlucky and they either fall apart on me or the zilla gets a hold of them and breaks them (I went through eight phones prior to this one last year). The Pixi’s longevity has led it to having the nickname Iron Pixi.

8. I do not consider myself a good photographer, I can occasionally take good photos but in truth I’m rarely happy with my own photos. I keep working at it hoping to improve my skills until I get to the point where I am consistently happy with them. While I may not consider myself a good photographer, I do however consider myself a determined photographer. When my old camera got dropped (not by me) the viewfinder as well as the autofocus went, honestly either one of those would not be a problem if the other was still working but together it was extremely frustrating to try and photograph anything.

9. My two favorite Pullips are Duela Dent (pictured above) and Clementine. My favorite stock Pullip is Papin, every time I even just see a picture of a Papin I can’t help but smile even if it’s a horrible cell phone picture of her; their is just something magical about her.

10. I’m really drawn to loud flamboyant clothing and accessories, the background in this photo is actually a hoody of mine for example (said hoody also has cat ears and a tail).

11. I have a doll room, it’s almost always in a state of chaos though as I am always in the process of trying to create more space to accommodate the growing number of dolls that live there. All told, I think there may be as many as 500 different dolls (it depends on how you define doll) in the doll room right now. The grand majority are Pullip but there are also lots of oddball stuff I have picked up over the years.

12. I’m a lot more mellow now compared to my teenage years, when I was younger I used to get into all sorts of mischief. Every now and again I’ll bump into one of my friends from back then and we’ll play the let’s catch up game, most of the time they don’t actually believe that I have mostly settled down and I’m surprised most of them haven’t really learned anything yet. They haven’t changed and are still doing the same stupid stuff after all these years or worse.

13. I can’t cook, if I step in the kitchen something is going to catch on fire- it’s an absolute.

14. My favorite flavor of ice cream is Cotton Candy. I love Cotton Candy in general, or I did until I got a mini Cotton Candy machine as a gift and glutted myself on Cotton Candy for like two weeks straight, then I kind of had my fill of it.

15. I like watching foreign movies with no subtitles bonus points if it’s a really trippy film to begin with, I recently watched Nattevagten in Dutch mostly because I have a mad crush on Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (he plays Jaime in the Game of Thrones Tv show). A friend watched the English language remake recently and offered to explain the plot but I was rather aghast, the film is much more magical when I have only the slightest idea of what is actually going on what I imagined is happening in the film is probably more interesting than what actually happened.

16. I talk really fast supposedly, I honestly think you all just listen too slowly :P

17. I was in a car accident a while ago, it damaged the nerves in my right arm to the point where I couldn’t feel the arm at all. Fortunately my arm was still capable of movement unfortunately my motor skills in my dominant hand got shot to hell. One of the many physical therapies suggested to me was coloring I’m not sure if coloring every really helped me physical therapy-wise but I have found it to be extremely relaxing.

18. Honestly I’m a big kid; I love toys, comic books and video games despite the fact I am 27 years old.

19. I’m not on facebook, I’ve really got no interest in it. The amount of people that ask me about my being on it honestly kind of baffles me.

20. I don’t really have regrets, I do have many unique learning experiences though.

I took the shots of this room minutes after the draperies and area rug were installed. This shot is not a view of the finished product….artwork and accessories were selected and installed months later. However, I cherish this shot because when my client arrived home on hour later, she called me on my cell phone…crying…tears of joy…she was so pleased and overwhelmed by my design and overall transformation of the space. She went through 3 decorators before she met me. I second-day-aired the red checked silk banding for the draperies ( from London) to meet her deadline…it was well worth it. She’s a wonderful client and truly beautiful person.

Me and my shopping cart
Cell Phones & Accessories

This was taken near the north end of Verdi Square, near 73rd Street & Broadway. I had watched this elderly woman slowly navigate her way from 72nd Street northwards, in no hurry at all. I guess she had been out shopping, though there was no real evidence of groceries or goods in her shopping cart. In any case, she shuffled by, and eventually disappeared up Broadway…

Note: this photo was published in a Jun 19, 2009 blog titled "Less Parking, More Healthy Food." It was also published in an Aug 15, 2009 PS3 Blog posting titled "Ein Bonuscontent für eine mögliche Modern Warfare 2: Super Extended Prestige Ultra Ultimate Edition (HD Remix)…." And it was published in an undated (Apr 2010) Cheap Cell Phone Accessories blog with the same title as the caption that I used on this Flickr page. It was also published in a May 23, 2010 blog titled "ABUNDANCE VS. SCARCITY, “FUN SHOPPING CART MESSAGES” EDITION."

Moving into 2011, the photo was published in an undated (late Jan 2011) blog titled "Cool Cheap Computer Accessories images, with the same caption and detailed notes that I had written on this Flickr page. It was also published in an Apr 25, 2011 blog titled "A Vision of Our Shopping Future."

**********************

This is part of an evolving photo-project, which will probably continue throughout the summer of 2008, and perhaps beyond: a random collection of "interesting" people in a broad stretch of the Upper West Side of Manhattan — between 72nd Street and 104th Street, especially along Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.

I don’t like to intrude on people’s privacy, so I normally use a telephoto lens in order to photograph them while they’re still 50-100 feet away from me; but that means I have to continue focusing my attention on the people and activities half a block away, rather than on what’s right in front of me.

I’ve also learned that, in many cases, the opportunities for an interesting picture are very fleeting — literally a matter of a couple of seconds, before the person(s) in question move on, turn away, or stop doing whatever was interesting. So I’ve learned to keep the camera switched on (which contradicts my traditional urge to conserve battery power), and not worry so much about zooming in for a perfectly-framed picture … after all, once the digital image is uploaded to my computer, it’s pretty trivial to crop out the parts unrelated to the main subject.

For the most part, I’ve deliberately avoided photographing bums, drunks, drunks, and crazy people. There are a few of them around, and they would certainly create some dramatic pictures; but they generally don’t want to be photographed, and I don’t want to feel like I’m taking advantage of them. I’m still looking for opportunities to take some "sympathetic" pictures of such people, which might inspire others to reach out and help them. We’ll see how it goes …

The only other thing I’ve noticed, thus far, is that while there are lots of interesting people to photograph, there are far, far, *far* more people who are *not* so interesting. They’re probably fine people, and they might even be more interesting than the ones I’ve photographed … but there was just nothing memorable about them.

I prefer store managers that place the orders to answer my question or employee’s that know where other places buy their electronics, I really want to open a small business and want to deal with companies I know big companies use any suggestions?

Answer by Tech
If you are looking for trust then you are in a wrong business.

You want to buy things either from China or you better off reselling what is sold from flea markets.

However, China is a very risky business and they can cheat their quality for money.

Don’t trust. Do dues dilligences.

Please don’t send money through wire transfer either. Not recommended.

A good website is http://www.okokchina.com or http://www.alibaba.com.

Be very careful! I am not kidding.

Cell phones?

Question by cherrysnowcone08: Cell phones?
i have an old phone, the one i got when i first signed on to t-mobile. i want a new phone and apparently i can only get one if i upgrade. does anyone know of certain stores that sell cell phones? a store that has them for a lower value. i want a pink razor but i dont want it for $ 200…i mean all you really have to do is switch the little chip in the back and your set to go? so are there stores out there that sell cell phones for lower prices? not used though, new, or atleast in fairly new condition…thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Joe M
Your best bet is Ebay. I took over my fathers cell phone contract to keep him from paying early termination fees and he had lost the phone to it. I bought a decent phone to use until the contract renewed and was very happy with it. Doing a qucik search showed many just like you are looking for.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?ht=1&from=R4&satitle=t-mobile+razr&sacat=15032%26catref%3DC6

Hope that helps.

I noticed you specified new. Not many places to buy a new phone without a contract or ridiculous price. Descriptions are generally pretty decent on Ebay. Also, if you buy one you can take it in to your local T-Mobile store and they should program it to work with your number.

Question by simpleminded: Cell Phones?
In what State of the US, is it Illegal to use Cell Phones While driving ??

How many of you use the Hands Free Cell Phone while driving ?

Those of you who drive not using the Hands Free Cell Phone, do you find it takes away from your concentration from driving and avoiding an accident ?

What % ( percentage ) , do you think Cell Phones cause Auto Accidents ??

Thank You

Best answer:

Answer by fire4511
I do not use a hands free phone, but i do use the phone when driving regularly.

It does not effect my driving at all. I also can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Cell phones do not cause accidents. Failure to control the vehicle causes collisions.

Question by xiaoxlili: cell phones?
I am planning to purchase a cell phone within the next few months. I don’t know much about cell phones.. and I just came back from CES and saw some amazing cell phones. Could anyone tell me out of these three phones, which one is the best? Or describe the differences? (besides companies and how they look like)
LG Chocolate, Samsung SGH E900, Samsung SCH -u510

Best answer:

Answer by Shboby
I have the LG 8300 and it is fabulous! It is the best phone I have ever owned! I’ve had samsung phone and, in my opinion, they are crapy!

The 8300 allows you to take pictures, video and mp3s. It has great sound and has great battery length!

In my opinion, LG phones are the best and most user friendly phones around!

If you have to choose one of those three choose the LG Chocolate!
